Beech wood stair treads

Beech wood

Beech is valued for its smoothness and uniformity, which allow for easy processing. This wood is ideal for the production of finely crafted furniture components and stairs, where a flawless surface finish is required. Beech also offers good resistance to wear but can be prone to warping when exposed to moisture.

Advantages:

  • Easy to work with and achieves a perfect surface finish.

  • Relatively lower cost compared to oak.

Disadvantages:

  • Lower resistance to moisture.

  • Less resistant to mechanical damage than oak.
